Quick Note gives you up to four customizable tabs to take notes, which can be used in three ways:
Float Mode: This mode uses a detached self-standing window, in which you can take and save your notes.

Sidebar Mode: Quick Note integrates in the Firefox sidebar, so that you can annotate things while you are navigating on a webpage.

Tab Mode: As the name says, Quick Note can be used in a tab, as if it was a normal website.

You can also set which mode should start when you press Ctrl+F7, instead of opening you favorite mode from the Tools menu.

The options allow you to customize how many tabs you want, the Ctrl+F7 function and set in which tab you want the selected text to be sent to. Plus, you can change the background color, font type, color and size for each one of the tabs.
Free to install and use.
