Save WebPages For Further Reading: Read It Later

Read It Later is a Firefox extension by The Idea Shower that allows you to mark a page and read it later.

It means that anytime you like a web-site, you have to read a particular news or you just have to check that site again, you can use this plug-in to save pages and visit them again in the future, without having to bookmark them.

It is really easy to use, with an intuitive interface made of only two buttons:

  1. “Save This Page For Later” is the first button, and also the most important one. When you are browsing a page, you can simply click this button and the page will be automatically saved in your reading list.

When this button is clicked, its icon will change, tell you that the site has been marked, and giving you the possibility of marking the item as read, and saving it to ANY social bookmarking service, starting from Delicious, Digg, Google Bookmarks, and so much more.
  2. “Read Something From Your Reading List” is the other button of this fantastic add-on. You can use it in basically four ways:
    • If you just click it you will get a random page from your reading list opened for reading.

Else, if you click the arrow, you can:

    • Set the options: Choose what to do when you mark an item as read, where to open items, and how the Reading List button should behave when clicked.

    • Browse your saved websites: Under the options, you will have a list of the sites you have yet saved, so that you can choose which one to read, instead of getting a random one open.
    • Prepare list for offline viewing: It allows you to save locally the pages you want to read later, so that you can view them also if you are not connected to the Internet
